2 Months: Hospital On the Job Training  and Clinical Experience for 320 Hours

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE OF CLASSES?

Course Description:

The course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of Caregiving NC II and Health Care (Health Care Assistant) NC II in accordance with industry standards. It consists of combined competencies that a person must achieve skills to provide care and support to infants/toddlers, provide care and support to children, foster social, intellectual, creative and emotional development of children, foster the physical development of children, provide care and support to elderly, provide care and support to people with special needs, maintain healthy and safe environment, respond to emergency, managing client’s environment including; bedroom, dining room, toilet and bathroom; managing patient clothes, linen, fabric, and prepare hot and cold meals. Also, the course covers core competencies in preparing and maintaining beds, collecting and maintaining linen stocks at end-user locations, assisting with patient mobility, transport and bio-psychosocial support care of patients and handling waste in a healthcare environment. Further, the addition of 14 Essential Skills for Patient Care and Management expands the scope of work and responsibilities as part of the healthcare team in the hospital.

Course Objectives:

• Patient Support: Learn how to assist with patient mobility, safe transport, and daily living needs.
• Environment Maintenance: Master the proper ways to prepare and maintain patient beds and handle linen stocks.
• Safety & Control: Implement strict infection control policies, manage medical waste, and apply basic first aid.
• Psychosocial Care: Provide basic emotional and social support care to patients during their recovery or stay.

Target Audience:

• Filipinos and other nationalities;
• 16 years old and above
• At least high school graduate
• Any individuals with different academic backgrounds with or without bachelor’s degree who would like to upskill or reskill, and those who want to change career path to healthcare.
