Course Briefed Description:
This course equips employees, contractors, and designated Fire Wardens with essential knowledge to identify fire hazards, prevent fires, respond to emergencies, evacuate safely, and support effective evacuation procedures. It also covers basic fire-extinguisher principles and limitations, communication, accountability, and participation in fire drills.
Overall objectives:
Improve recognition and control of common workplace fire hazards.
Build confidence in alarm response, emergency reporting, evacuation and assembly-point procedures.
Clarify the safe and appropriate role of portable fire extinguishers within the client’s emergency arrangements.
Develop designated Fire Wardens who can support safe evacuation, communication and accountability.
Reinforce the client’s emergency plans through practical scenarios, drills and continuous improvement.
Target Audience:
Designated Fire Wardens / Floor Wardens, emergency coordinators, security personnel, facility management personnel, OHS personnel, supervisors, department representatives and other personnel assigned specific evacuation responsibilities.
